Description:
This regional conference will explore root health in trees in the urban environment, with a morning lecture series and afternoon field demonstrations out on the grounds of Cypress Lawn Arboretum and Memorial Park. The subject matter for the day will focus on maintenance of healthy roots systems in mature trees, including the proper application of root crown excavations, as well as methods of cultivation of good roots in young trees in young trees in nursery settings, primarily with container-grown nursery stock. Hands-on immersive learning opportunities to understand current arboricultural methods will be taught in-person by leading practitioners in our Western Chapter region, for a day of knowledge and fun at Cypress Lawn Arboretum!
