Description:
Understanding soil and being able to assess its health is vitally important to the health and growth of trees. In this workshop, participants will learn how to assess soil quality in relation to tree health through hands-on, field applications.
As part of this workshop, participants will learn the basics of soil science through soil pit and soil core explorations, see the direct impact of soil health on trees via demonstration sites, and learn how to rapidly assess soil quality in relation to tree health through field exercises.
