Description:
This returning ISA Ontario Chapter IPM FOR WOODY PLANTS field course is designed to give you an opportunity to develop hands-on diagnostic skills and utilize valuable resources as a first step in IPM. This workshop combines field study and sample collection, lecture and hands-on diagnostics to help you identify plant problems more effectively. An OMAFRA soil specialist will also demonstrate hands-on soil texturing and discuss soil health and fertility in landscape trees. Also Jeff McMann will speak briefly about tree risk issues on the property.
Keynote lecturers include Jennifer Llewellyn, Nursery & Landscape Specialist with Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Christoph Kessel, OMAFRA Soil Fertility Specialist (Horticulture) and Jeff McMann, Arbor Services Co-Ordinator for the Mount Pleasant Group.
The workshop is offered in partnership with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Mount Pleasant Group and ISA Ontario Chapter. Jeff McMann – Arbor Services Co-Ordinator for the Mount Pleasant Group will speak briefly about tree risk.
