Doug Campbell
– SaskPower, Regina,
Saskatchewan
Doug Campbell was the
Transmission & Distribution Forester for SaskPower Corporation in Saskatchewan,
Canada from 2010 to 2013, and is currently the Supervisor of Environmental
Regulation with SaskPower. He is on the Executive Committee of the Utility
Vegetation Management Association (UVMA) in western Canada. Doug began his
career in the Northwest Territories, where he worked for 13 years as a Resource
Management Officer, Wildfire Protection Officer, and Management Forester across
the western sub-Arctic. In 1997 he moved
to Saskatchewan with his growing family, and worked for the Ministry of Environment
for 13 years; first as Forest Inventory Manager in the Forest Service, and then
as Biodiversity Conservation Manager with the Wildlife Service before joining
SaskPower. He is a Registered Professional Forester in Saskatchewan, has an
Executive MBA from Athabasca University, and recently earned his PMP
designation in project management. He
has a lovely wife and three rambunctious teenagers, and referees ice hockey in
his spare time to release stress!
Gerald Gervais
– Kitsaki Management
Limited Partnerships, La Ronge, Saskatchewan
Gerald Gervais
was the Project Manager for Kitsaki
Management Limited Partnership for the 178-kilometer I1K/I2P line cutting
project, and he is presently the Manager of Kitsaki Project Limited
Partnership. Gerald graduated with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Technology in 1984. He was the head of operations for the City of Melville and
Weyburn and the Town of Banff, Alberta, and he left municipal government in
1996 to return to private enterprise. Since then Gerald has been a project
manager for various civil companies throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta. His
duties as a project manager include estimating, hiring assistant project
managers, staff, and overall management of projects. He has three children and
been married to the same beautiful lady since 1974.
Terry Malmas
– FortisAlberta,
Spruce Grove, Alberta
Terry Malmas has been
with Fortis Alberta for 25 years, starting as a power lineman in operations, then
as a construction coordinator, a forestry field representative, a supervisor of
regional projects, and currently he is Manager of Forestry. Terry sits on the board of the Utility
Vegetation Management Association (UVMA), the Industrial Vegetation Management
Association of Alberta (IVMAA) Utility Tree Worker (UTW) and Utility Tree
Trimmer (UTT) committees, and the Wildfire Management Advisory Committee (WMAC)
in Alberta. Terry has been married for
28 wonderful years with three wonderful, energetic children. He enjoys camping, snowmobiling, both snow
and water skiing, and is the president of a junior hockey club.
