Tree Risk Assessment Update
Summary
Tree risk assessment is an integral part of every working arborist’s day. With the introduction of the ISA Tree Risk Assessment Best Management Practice the way the tree risk assessment should be conducted has changed. The Tree Risk Assessment BMP was used as a basis for the ISA’s new Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) program. This talk will update attendees on the status of the TRAQ program and provide information from the BMP with a focus on the new concepts including levels of risk assessment, determining the likelihood and consequences of tree failure, and the matrix approach to assessing tree risk.
