    Summary

As arborists, we are afforded the interesting opportunity of determining the destiny of a tree. Depending on the history of that tree, its value to the owner or community, its economic or environmental value, or any other number of reasons, we may make the extra effort to ensure that the trees in question survive. This talk will briefly walk through the steps of a tree risk assessment that lead us to determine that more than just basic pruning is required. From there, we will take a photographic tour of creative measures arborists have taken to extend the lives of otherwise doomed trees.
