Are you an arborist working in the utility sector or interested in becoming one? Have you received proper training as required by OSHA and ANSI to safely work in proximity to electrical hardware and equipment? Are you interested in expanding your skill set to join an elite team of Qualified Line Clearance Arborists who are passionate about safety and even more passionate about improving the performance of the arboricultural trade? Then this course is for you!

Utility arboriculture and vegetation management is the largest sector of the arboriculture industry and requires specialty skills to safely perform job tasks in proximity to electrical conductors and hardware. North American Training Solutions is the only nationally recognized training organization utilizing OSHA Authorized Outreach trainers and performing hands-on training and hands-on competency evaluations which assess and empower workers to perform their job duties to the highest of their abilities.

WHAT THIS COURSE COVERS
This course includes 4-days of virtual learning, plus an additional 6 hours of self-paced learning. The topics covered include line clearance techniques; general personal and equipment safety; electrical hazard awareness training; chainsaw use and safety. You will earn your NATS issued Certificate of Completion for EHAT (valid for 12 months), OSHA 10-Hour, flagger and QLCA trainee by attending the virtual training program only, this certificate is required to attend the in-person training to earn a full QLCA qualification.

An additional hands-on training experience, along with competency evaluations to assess and empower workers to perform their job duties to the highest of their abilities, will be a separate in-person session to be held August 2-5, 2021 in Apple Valley, CA. This in-person training, in addition to a valid First Aid/CPR certificate* is required to earn your NATS issued QLCA qualification, aerial rescue, chainsaw, climbing, and rigging – participants must meet the level of qualification by earning a passing score on the course assessments.
*NATS offers a separate First Aid/CPR course for an additional fee, if needed.

Insulated tool: use, inspection, testing, maintenance, and retirement criteria
DELIVERABLES
Attendees who complete the virtual course will receive a NATS-issued Certificate of Completion for EHAT (valid for 12 months), OSHA 10-Hour, flagger and QLCA trainee for this course.

Attendees who complete the virtual course, the in-person course AND have a valid First Aid/CPR certificate* will receive a NATS issued QLCA qualification, aerial rescue, chainsaw, climbing, and rigging – participants must meet the level of qualification by earning a passing score on the course assessments for this course.
