WorksafeBC began meeting with its stakeholders in May 2019 to review and discuss changes to Part 26 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation (OHSR) for Forestry Operations and Similar Activities. From May 2019 to March 2021, several drafts were reviewed during pre and post consultations and periods of public review and feedback. In May 2021, WorksafeBC's Board of Directors approved the amendments recommended.
WorksafeBC will present an overview of the new regulation and discuss how it will impact arborist work in British Columbia, Canada. The regulation goes into effect on December 1, 2021 so be sure to attend this live webinar which will also feature a Q&A with Mike Nielsen and Chris Miller, presenters from WorksafeBC.
