Description:
proactive and restorative maintenance of mature and post-mature trees, with a special focus on the heritage collection of Monterey cypresses at the Arboretum, the tree that names the place. Also included in the program will be the intergenerational stewardship offered by the planting of companion trees cultivated in nursery settings, as well as a discussion of the shifting industry standards of tree care for birds and wildlife in the context of dead and dying old trees. Hands-on immersive learning opportunities to understand current arboricultural methods will be taught in-person by leading practitioners in our western chapter region, for a day of knowledge and fun at Cypress Lawn Arboretum!
