Description:
The International Arboriculture Summit (Hong Kong) runs Wednesday–Friday, 12–14 November 2025, at the Chinese Y.M.C.A. Wu Kai Sha Youth Village. Hosted by the Institute of Arboriculture Studies (HK)—which has delivered arboriculture and urban forestry programmes since 2008—the Summit follows a two-year theme, “Tree Structure & Stability.” The 2025 focus is Biology, Morphology, Soils, Roots & Biomechanics, followed in 2026 by Practical Assessment, Pruning, Engineering, Decay & Mitigation Strategies.
Each year we welcome participants from across Asia and beyond, spanning both public and private sectors: tree and forest consultants, landscape architects, city planners, construction and environmental managers, researchers, educators, contractors and landscapers, business owners, arborists, urban foresters, and government staff at all levels. If trees are part of your passion or career, you should attend. If you’re travelling from outside Hong Kong, contact us and we can suggest nearby hotels.
Expect three days of conference-style lectures supported by PowerPoint, plenty of Q&A, and dedicated networking during breaks. With hundreds of trees on the grounds, lecturers will reference real on-site examples for discussion and interaction. As arboriculture continues to evolve, the Summit brings researchers, educators, and practitioners together to present the latest practices and technologies alongside core fundamentals, so our community can grow together in understanding and practice.
