Description:
This one-day course will focus on the most prevalent insect pests found on trees and shrubs in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. Each insect will be profiled to include biology and life cycle, the conditions necessary for outbreaks, and integrated control strategies that include useful cultural, biological, and chemical management techniques. Special emphasis will be on symptom recognition, scouting, and insect diagnosis from the field. Richard, a plant pathologist at Rutgers University, will bring you up to date on the most recent science-based information concerning your favorite pest problem!
Please bring your own lunch. There are also local lunch options for take-out.
This course carries 6 CEUs for ISA certified arborists (S=2, P=2, M=2) and Pennsylvania Pesticide Recertification credits have been applied for.
