Description: 2023 ISA Certified Arborist Prep Course

Our ISA Certified Arborist Prep Course is hosted multiple times throughout the year. It serves both as a perfect introductory class to best management practices in arboriculture, and as a structured development plan to pass the exam the first time. We will cover, in-depth, all of the core components that an Arborist needs to know in a way that is beneficial for newcomers to seasoned individuals alike.

COURSE PURPOSE

This class is for individuals who are preparing for the ISA Certified Arborist Exam or are new to arboriculture and want to learn the vital skills in the industry. This course was designed to facilitate the following:

1) A pre-assessment exam that identifies current strengths and weaknesses
2) Engaging weekly webinars that cover the foundational pillars outlined in the ISA Certified Arborist Guide
3) Take home weekly quizzes that gauge conceptual understanding.
4) A final 200 question exam that contains questions similar to those encountered on the ISA exam.

COURSE SCHEDULE

All sessions are US Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) at 6PM (18:00). Each live webinar will be recorded for participant convenience.

Class 1 (January 10): Tree Biology
Class 2 (January 17): Soil Science, Water Management, Tree Nutrition and Fertilization
Class 3 (January 24): Tree Identification, Tree Selection, Installation and Establishment
Class 4 (January 31): Pruning, Tree Support and Lightning Protection
Class 5 (February 7): Diagnosis and Plant Disorders, Plant Health Care
Class 6 (February 14): Tree Assessment and Risk Management
Class 7 (February 21): Trees and Construction, Urban Forestry
Class 8 (February 28): Tree Worker Safety, Climbing and Working in Trees

COURSE FEES

Amount due: $475 (US)

Fee includes access to all eight live classes (and recordings), course material (ISA Guide sold separately), weekly quizzes, weekly flashcards, and three practice exams.
