Description:
Join the PNW-ISA Chapter and instructors Ryan Senechal and Matt Follott for the Practical Arboriculture - Research Driven Solutions Workshop. We hope this multi-day, multi-topic workshop will stimulate, educate and inspire your practical work!
Indoors, in a common presentation format, Matt will review several topics of current arboriculture research results – both from his own line of work, plus that of other colleagues and peers. The focus will be primarily on biomechanical aspects, and how our work practices affect tree stability and motion – and how we can best manage specific operations to reduce the likelihood of whole tree, or tree part failure, both in the moment (climber safety) and long-term tree stability.
Then an exciting practical outdoor workshop in-situ destructive experiment! Together as a group, we will gather and interpret the data collected in real time.
