Description:
Controlling insects is a lot more complicated than just applying pesticide controls. To effectively manage insects, you must:
Identify the insect;
Understand its life cycle;
Distinguish between beneficial and harmful insects; and
Apply the right control at the right time.
This one-day, hands-on class covers all four of these topics with practical tips and quick identification clues. This course is taught by Dr. Paula Shrewsbury, Extension Specialist, University of Maryland. She will bring a truck full of specimens to view and discuss.
