Sandcut Outdoors is partnering with the Haverford College Arboretum for a one-of-a-kind first aid course developed specifically to the needs of the arboriculture and tree worker community. The class will cover the role of Personal Protective Equipment in preventing and limiting soft tissue injuries and will provide “hands-on” training on the various methods used to control severe bleeding including the use of commercial and improvised tourniquets, as well as wound packing and the use of hemostatic agents. Preregistration is required as the class is limited to 20 students. This class has been preapproved for 2CEUs (TW Climber Specialist, Aerial Lift Specialist, Municipal Specialist, BCMA-Practice, and Certified Arborist)
