What Is the TPAQ Certificate Program?
The TPAQ credential program is an interactive training experience that delves into the concepts contained in the 10th edition of the Guide for Plant Appraisal. Using instructor-led discussions and case scenarios to illustrate concepts, you will become proficient in conducting appraisals using the various approaches contained in the 10th edition.
The training culminates with an open-book exam that tests attendees on their comprehension of the material and concepts. Successful candidates will receive a certificate and be entitled to list TPAQ as a credential.
This qualification has been modeled on the Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ). Like TRAQ, it will be Socratic instruction and will have a written test and practicum at the end of the second day. The cost and requalification will be similar to TRAQ. Registration will be limited to an absolute maximum of 20 people, no exceptions. Tree Risk Assessment (TRAQ) and /or ISA Certified Arborist credentials along with prior experience in plant or other appraisal techniques (assigning dollar values) are strongly encouraged by the instructor but are not expected to be a requirement. A study manual (10thed. of Guide to Plant Appraisal) should be thoroughly reviewed by the student prior to attending the class.
