Do trees reduce stress for people in pain? Vincent’s research examined different landscapes and collected physiological and psychological data to determine therapeutic benefits in a college campus pilot and in a hospital clinical study. Explore evolutionary theory of landscape preference and receive an update on global research that indicates that healthy trees provide health and wellness; resulting in economic, social, and environmental gains. Presenter Information

    • Ellen Vincent
      Dr. Ellen Vincent is Environmental Landscape Specialist in Clemson University’s Horticulture Department. She teaches classes in sustainability and landscapes and health and her interdisciplinary research involves the therapeutic benefits of nature. Her Ph.D. is in environmental design and planning.
