An Orientation to the Arboriculture Profession - Introduces new employees to the tree care profession. Discusses key safety
issues and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to

Vehicle Safety - Explains pre-trip preparation and safety
inspections for trucks and chippers. Addresses safe driving, parking, and vehicle/equipment operations requirements. (1.0 CEU*)
Job Planning & Preparation - Provides instruction on the key
elements in job planning and preparation, including site inspection, worksite hazard identification, work plan development and job briefing, and emergency preparedness. (1.0 CEU*)
Working Safely and Efficiently - Covers issues relevant to
ground work, such as preparing equipment and gear, controlling
traffic, sequencing work, and supporting climbers. (1.0 CEU*)
Brush Chipper Operation & Maintenance - Reviews preventive
maintenance checks and discusses methods for towing the
chipper, preparing for use, gathering and feeding brush into the
