Certified arborist here: I agree with the better part of these reviews about the stickers and the cost. I also feel that we should not as certified arbors have to pay $150 to be members when we’re certified Arborist with ISA already, we should have a reduced rate like a college student gets. I’m not sure if it’s going to fall on deaf ears, but I guess if enough people complain maybe something will be done. Seems like even with other certifications it’s all about money. A lot of time spent trying to collect credits that could be better spent in the field, saving trees….. jpa

They Should offer the patches and helmet decals to be sold separately. I am forced to buy a whole packet with certificate to get a patch and decal. Please fix this!

I’m not sure how the rating scale goes so I’m putting 3. I too am disappointed On not receiving the hard hat decals and certificates. I just want the stickers. We used to have the option to buy just the stickers. I’m also disappointed there is no TRAQ decal for my helmet. I have it and no way to really show it off

I was confused when I received my last renewal package without a certificate or wallet card. Customer service explained the ISA does not include those in the renewal package any longer. The decision was since Covid, because they are pushing for all digital credentials. I am honestly disappointed with this change. Not only does it take away from the value we receive from the renewal package, but it also adds an extra step, extra costs and an additional 4-6 week timeframe to get the certificate and wallet card after renewing. My customers and employers expect to see an up-to-date certificate or card, not simply a digital pdf or screenshot.

Where is my certificate? I am not sure what is going on. If I have to print my own certificate where is the link?

So now ISA just gives you a link and says print it yourself? If I need digital copies I can use the scanner that is attached to the printer that I now have to use if I want a hard copy. This may be useful for some but, this change does not provide any benefit to me. From my perspective I am getting charged extra and given extra hoops to jump through to receive the same service I had received in the past.

ISA sends you a link to print your virtual certificate ,I guess thats a cost saving for the ISA.
But the ISA is not funded with virtual money now our they …Recertification and the ceu requirements costs are expensive , and time consuming ;and to be recognized with a virtual certificate seems cheap and off.
Sending embellish certificates to credential holders would have a better affect ,not realized by just pressing the print option.

Very upset. For a $230 recertification fee it feels like the ABSOLUTE LEAST ISA could do is include a sticker, patch, and updated card like they did in the original certification packet. That price does not feel worth it.

We don't get wallet cards anymore either. I was sent to a site where I could print out my own certificate.

230 bucks for recertification……ISA is an absolute racket

WOW, really disappointed!
$230 to recertify. Now additional fees to receive certificate, Thank You ISA.

Very disappointed that after paying $230 for recertification that we've NOW got to pay an extra 18 dollars (and change) to get the certificate .. seems everything's about that dollar!
