This video-based training will take you through six sessions where you’ll learn about the most common hazards that can impact safety when completing arboricultural tasks and operating, storing, and inspecting machinery. While some equipment and techniques are used to teach specifically about safety and the Z133, this training is not intended to teach you how to fell a tree, inspect a chipper, and perform other tasks that require more comprehensive, in-depth training. However, the Z133 Safety course can be a useful supplement to that type of training.
Z133 Safety covers six sessions:
Preparing for the Job
Aerial Lift Safety
Chain Saw Safety and Use
Chipper Safety
Climber Safety
Electrical Safety
Sessions include video training on safety requirements for common hazards on the job site followed by knowledge check questions to check your understanding of the content. Completion of all six sessions will prepare you for the final assessment.
After completion of the above sessions, there is a 50-question final assessment that can be taken for CEUs. If you achieve a score of 80% or higher, you can earn CEUs. You have unlimited opportunities to take the assessment until you pass. (2.5 CEUs) A, U, M, T, L, Bm
All information presented derives from Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z133 Safety Requirements--2017. Equipment and techniques represented here were approved at the time of Z133 publication and could change.
